Produced in 2023, my video resume of works and accomplishments up that point in the style of a film trailer.
A promotional video shot for Middletown, CT’s WIHS 104.9 radio station, later shown on a jumbo screen at Hartford’s XL Center during a concert.
For the year 2024, Grace & Mercy Family Ministries’ theme was about seeing the Manifestation of God’s Glory.
In designing this, I was heavily influenced by JWST’s space images and kinectic-type. I wrote the script that also looked back at past themes, incorporating logos and type-faces used in those past themes. This is also one of the few recently produced videos for my church which I provided voiceover.
This is a very simple apple pie promo I created that I posted on social media and included in the church announcements video.
This was my first demo reel showing my editing ability as well as videos I had worked on from about 2012 until 2015.
Every year, Grace & Mercy Family Ministries follows a theme to focus on. Sr. Pastor Donald L. Watson takes a look back at past themes before introducing 2023’s theme.
I used footage from a sermon late in 2022 and played around with various effects and transitions to achieve the desired look and feel.
Grace & Mercy Family Ministries has video announcements which I attempt to adjust weekly based on upcoming events. This example is for the first week of April, technically shown on March 31, 2024.
There are videos merged into one (or embedded into another video). One of my AV team members, James, does voiceover for the main announcements remains unchanged every week. Following that is an “in-house” welcome video featuring voices from our church’s welcome team. Due to their shyness and my eagerness to experiment with an animation program, I felt it was the perfect opportunity to try something different. After the welcome is the “Monthly Announcements” segment. The video above was specific for Easter/Resurrection Sunday, I included a reminder of that before my niece, Tori, delivered the announcements for April. Embedded in this video is one of our ministers discussing her prayer group. The entire video bookends with James returning to encourage the congregation to take a selfie and have a good week. There is a variant that streams on our social media pages that includes more generic promos I produced.
As part of a class project, I had to write, direct, and produce a 30-second promo. This was produced in 2011.
WIHS asked me to direct and produce their first video podcast series. I also helped to create the look and sound of the show.
I had been inspired by “Mad Men” to create an opening title sequence (and TV show) in the same style and wanted to see what I could come up with. This was in 2014.
My first short film was produced for a class project.
Introduce your video with a short summary or excerpt viewers can preview. If you don’t add an excerpt, this field will automatically show the first three lines of the video’s description.
A full broadcast production of a Grace & Mercy Family Ministries service, using programs like vMix, Quelea, and Camo. This was recorded on March 31, 2024, and my whole team assisted in various positions. At this time, we have at least 4 cameras streaming but that day we only had 3. I normally serve as technical director and will change camera shots and flash on screen graphics including lower thirds.
WIHS sent me the video from the Gala event and asked me to edit portions of it for later broadcasting. This is also when I designed the intro titles that are now featured on videos produced for them.
The first promo I made (outside of school) was for my friend’s shoe store in 2013.
My first collaboration with my photographer friend Ebony and short film outside of school. Filmed in 2013.
